Scenic camping in a ridge and lake landscape, only 5 km from Outokumpu, in the middle of Outokumpu Wilderness and Nature Center. There are also great beaches in the area.
The campsite has 12 electric caravan pitches, tent pitches, 10 camping cabins for 2-4 people, a kitchen and shower building, a barbecue hut and two saunas. Tourists are received at Kaunisniemi Café.
The area has been reopened, and the traditional camping spirit is cherished. The place is being run and developed by Outokumpu Tourist Association. The whole city welcomes you!

The camping cottages and sauna have been redecorated with the help of associations and companies from Outokumpu. You can find e.g. circus, history or romance theme in your cottage.
Each cottage has a terrace overlooking the lake or pine forest. We also have 12 caravan and 8 tent pitches with beautiful views. Come and enjoy!
We have two saunas, one with electric heating and one traditional finnish sauna wit wooden heating. You can go to swim straight from the sauna.
We hope you come to without the symptoms of runny nose and flu. We won't be surprised if you wear a face shield. Stay healthy!

Beautiful Cape Café and Reception
The café is a former ski lodge for miners, now it has been extended by a terrace. You can chat with locals, have a cup of coffee or a glass of beer or wine and enjoy local delicacies like berry pies.
The café serves as an information point for the Outokumpu Wilderness and Nature Center. A 7 km nature trail and a 12-lake canoeing route depart from Särkiselkä. The wilderness center also has a recreational fishing area and a children's fish oasis.
Nearby attractions include Outokumpu's Old Mine, which houses the Children's Mine and the Mining Museum. Kaksola berry farm is a great day trip destination. It is 43 km to Valamo Monastery, 45 km to Joensuu and 74 km to Koli.
